Remember the time when David Beckham made a shocking decision to play in the States? How about the time when Ronaldinho left FC Barcelona for another club? Stars like these are undeniably talented in terms of football and they have certainly created a name for their clubs, Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively. However, things have changed and these two no longer play for their beloved club but that did not affect the clubs much as Real Madrid and Barcelona still deliver world-class soccer to their fans.

These two clubs located in Europe are sworn enemies as they strive to overtake one another in the football league.The Madrid Barcelona match usually attracts a huge crowd. There were times when Real Madrid drifted from the top of the table but fortunately recollected themselves together and fought to win the league. I myself am a favourite of Real Madrid. It wasn’t so much about the players but I was more interested in the style of playing by the players. Back in United, Beckham was more on the offense side but when he was at Madrid, I could see the difference in his style of playing which was more defensive. One thing that attracts me most about Real Madrid is the way they keep possession of the ball. To add more to it, you can see the teamwork in the players and this leads to quality football.

Not to forget the club Barcelona who is currently in the lead, they are also a very good club with top-class players. The likes of how Lionel Messi is playing for Barcelona now allows them to boast about winning the La Liga Cup, but it is not just about one player as I believe the whole team contributed to the success Barcelona is having now.

In soccer, there will always be rivalry as each club challenges one another to be the best. With good clubs on the run, soccer will definitely have a place in the world’s favourite.
