My son has come home from school saying that he needs to take in wedding
pictures. It was lovely looking through the various wedding photos that
I had to select some suitable ones for him. I got him my best wedding photo
because I thought he would really like to have one of his parents to
show his friends at school. There was one of his Auntie's wedding which I
thought looked interesting because it was outside and one of his Uncles
who had a wedding and Christening at the same time. I also got one of
his grandparents as I thought that they would love looking at the vintage wedding dresses
and also the fact that the picture was in black and white would be
interesting for them. It is interesting though, that even in the very
old pictures the wedding gown
is not that different to ones that you can get today. I hope that he
enjoys showing the pictures to his class and telling them who it is in
the pictures. I think it is a fun thing for them to do and a good way to
learn about religious ceremonies. How it fits in with their food theme
for the term, I am not sure but it is still teaching them something
anyway!
