For people outside the Middle East to work in the continent, it would definitely be very challenging mainly because the companies might want the full dedication from the staff which means it will be less personal time. In fact, I know of many friends who are currently based in the Middle East are having the same problem as well. The salary might be high, but they do not get to enjoy a bit, or even spend the money because they spend almost 100% of their time working.
